Install guide

After you buy

Your receipt email contains your download links and licence key. Keep the email — the key is how support can find your order. Download the installer for your platform, then follow your platform's steps below.

macOS

Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Sync My Tunes into Applications.
Start the app from Applications. Because the build isn't notarised yet, macOS will stop it the first time — that's expected.

One-time Gatekeeper step (macOS Sequoia or later): click Done on the first block, then open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to the Open Anyway button (it names Sync My Tunes), click it, then click Open. You only do this once — the app starts normally after that.

If you see "Sync My Tunes is damaged and can't be opened" instead, run this once in Terminal and try again:
xattr -cr "/Applications/Sync My Tunes.app"

Windows

Run the downloaded .exe installer.
If Windows protected your PC (blue SmartScreen) appears, click More info, then Run anyway. This appears because the installer isn't code-signed yet.
Follow the installer, then start Sync My Tunes.

First sync

The setup window appears. Connect Spotify (a browser window opens for the sign-in) and Apple Music.
Pick which Spotify playlist copies into which Apple Music playlist. Discover Weekly and Release Radar are suggested by default.
Press Sync now for a first run, or leave it to run automatically every Monday and Friday morning.

The app lives in your menu bar (macOS) or system tray (Windows). Updates are announced there and in the dashboard when a new version is on the website — you download and replace the app, and your connections and history stay.

Problems?

Email [email protected]. The tray menu's Copy diagnostics for support item puts technical details on your clipboard with secrets already stripped — paste it into the email and we can usually fix things in one round trip.
